In the privacy of my home, the instruments 
of graphite and paper come out to play 
in a living room, dark at evening.

Life is my studio; what I do and think, 
feel and consider, are my subjects. 
The rest is up to me to comprehend.

As an artist, I am drawn, figuratively and literally,
to see what comes to light in the creative process.

My work, in fine pencilled detail, serves as a record
of personal revelation embedded with the symbolic. 

My aim as an artist is to gain awareness of the reality 
in which I live. We must each learn to follow our own path, and as I go to create, there is already hidden
and higher meaning to decipher from the journey.
